In September of 2013, an expedition began.
There was a noticeable lack of women within the pipelines feeding C-suites. A group of executives from some of the most respected global companies had come together to discuss their concerns about this lack of representation. Those companies wanted to do more to help accelerate and support their talented executives to senior management. Together, we created a cross-company, cross-industry initiative that would provide these leaders just that.
The first Signature Program session gathered 30 women executives from four continents. They brought excitement, intelligence, warmth and authenticity. Some of these women have become Signature advisors and faculty. All have remained connected and achieved amazing things.
When something is meant to be, it seems to take on a life of its own. The Signature Program hosted more than 200 talented, high-performing executives from more than 50 companies around the globe. Together, we empowered these women to achieve new levels of success in business and in life, and we broadened their networks of peers and advisors.
We established the Signature Network as a lasting global forum that our generous, intelligent executives share. Through it, they have access to an intimate, active, ongoing learning community filled with peers striving to live their lives with impact.
The need for these executives to focus on specific and intentional areas for growth and the companies desires to increase the numbers in the pipeline led to two new programs.
Dialogues of Distinction is perhaps our most exclusive gathering. Through it, top-level women executives have a safe, challenging environment where they can go deep into a topic that provides practical and immediate action.
Signature Select extends the pipeline earlier in the career funnel. Hosted by four global companies to provide expertise and mentorship in a cross-company, this cross-industry forum is designed to accelerate the progress of high potential women in the middle ranks of leadership.
Introducing Signature Leaders
What began as a single effort to address a specific issue has bloomed into an ecosystem of support and wisdom shared to all Signature Leaders. It has become so much bigger than its original intent because it has swept so many into its transformative mission.
Today, we are honored to recognize this evolution by announcing the new brand, as Signature Leaders. This brand reflects our growth and philosophy. It encompasses the Signature Program, Signature Select, and the Signature Network.
