While watching the closing ceremonies of the Rio Olympics on Sunday, I reflected on all of the incredible things that I had seen over the last two and a half weeks.
Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky, and Michael Phelps all won multiple gold medals (4, 4, and 5 respectively) over about as many days. Sometimes, they competed in multiple Finals in one day! Between each event, the swimmers spent time in the “warm-down” pool. The gymnasts stretched. These three Olympic champions and many more practiced visualization.
As I watched them move from event to event, spending their limited down time doing their best to prepare for the next gold medal opportunity, I was reminded of a Tignum blog titled “The Power of 15 Minutes”. Although it seems like an insignificant amount of time during our busy days, there is so much we can do with 15 minutes if we do it intentionally.
Read “The Power of 15 Minutes” by Scott Peltin from Tignum for some tips on how to use your limited time to enhance your performance.
